My PC ....

I was playing some cod4 and suddenly the game crashed and i got a black screen came out . After 15 sec the game got back and a notification appeared (display driver stopped responding and succesfuly recovered) i am running windows vista 32-bit 9600 gt 1gb and 3gb ram .. Any way to fix the crash?

Try downloading update from nvidia...

drivers up to date i tried down clocking my video card and it didn't crash but some textures are not normal

u clocked down? did u overclocked before? if u didnt you should go perphaps back to the store where u bought the video card and ask them for a new one!

i didn't over clock it b4 but when i tried to clock it down i just get some messing textures like walls and paints idk why

i think you should leave the original settings for the graphic card. and clocking has to be made with certain programs and certain way. did u just moved it like core and mem -50 or something like this? otherwise this would already greate artifacts on your screen. reset ur default settings. and try some other graphic card drivers for ur graphic card, it might work better than the newer ones for the new card. but not for old series, perhaps 8000 +
control also ur DirectX and stuff, perhaps some windows updates and so on

ohh yeah, btw - u might have some game files corruptedor missng due some virus also. if u wont get better by updating and trying other drivers then try to reinstall the game
